Third Annual Waste Heat-to-Power Generation Workshop

Houston Hobby Airport Marriott Hotel, September 25-26, 2007

The Third Annual Waste Heat-to-Power Generation Workshop was organized by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Gulf Coast Combined Heat and Power Regional Application Center (now known as U.S. DOE Southwest CHP Technical Assistance Partnership), Pacific Region CHP, North West CHP, Texas State Energy Conservation Office, and Texas Industries of the Future. The only workshop in the nation devoted to waste heat-to-power applications, it was a two-day event hosted at the Houston Hobby Airport Marriott Hotel (Phone: (713) 943-7979).

The workshop included an overview of the concept of “recycling energy,” a segment on the economics of waste heat-to-power technologies, a discussion of the financial and legal aspects of utilizing waste heat for power, industry presentations, and site visits. This workshop is the continuation of previous years' events of the same name. (2005) (2005)
